Sweater knitter’s notion bundle – stitch markers, gauge and box

This is a set of stitch markers specially selected to help you when knitting a sweater.  It can be hard to keep track of all of your increases and decreases while knitting a sweater.   Especially if you are like me and are always putting the project down for a while and forgetting where you left off!  They can be useful for sweater of all types, but here are some details on how I have used the markers with my knitting:

• Top-down raglan sweaters: 4 M1R and 4 M1L are perfect for tracking paired raglan increases.  When you have to separate for the sleeves, use the clasped markers (right sleeve, left sleeve, front, back) to keep track of which section is which.  Use the decrease markers (ssk, k2tog) to keep track of the sleeve decreases.  I like to leave the removable metal markers along the sleeve at each decrease row as I work.  It makes them easy to spot and count and make sure both sleeves are the same.
• Bottom-up yoke sweaters:  I use the decrease markers (ssk, k2tog) and then the increase markers (M1R, M1L) to keep track of the waist shaping. This time I use the increase makers to mark the sleeve increases and the metal removable markers to keep track of which rows have decreases.

Purchased separately these items would cost over $60. The set includes:

– Small metal tin has been adorned with bamboo to make the perfect storage solution for stitch markers. The tin has a bamboo veneer on the top and a soft felt bottom on the inside.
– Knitting needle gauge that fits perfectly inside and still leaves room to store Stitch markers and other notions.
– Set of 8 bamboo decrease markers – 4 ssk, 4 k2tog
– Set of 8 bamboo increase markers – 4 M1R, 4 M1L
– 4 clasped markers for raglan sections – “left sleeve”, “right sleeve”, “front”, “back”
– 12 removable metal bulb markers (COLOR MAY VARY)

The lid topper and the needle gauge and stitch markers are unfinished bamboo that may have natural variation in color and texture. The lining is a polyester felt (COLOR OF FELT MAY VARY – contact me if you have a preference).

The needle gauge has 12 positions from US 0 through US 10 (2mm through 6mm) labelled in US and metric sizes. It also has a ruler at the top in inches and on the bottom in centimeters.

The box measures approximately 2 3/8 inches by 1 1/2 inches and is about 3/4 inches tall.
