This honeycomb is for use with needlework projects such as crewel, embroidery, needlepoint and cross stitch. It is used to hold and separate each color of yarn or floss being used with a project. Thread your pieces of yarn or floss through the 10 1/2″ inch hexagon openings. Use the powerful rare earth magnet to hold on to your needle when you are not using it.
The photograph shows the honeycomb adorned with embroidery floss (not included), but the holes are large enough to accommodate thicker needlepoint and crewel yarns. This item measures about 4 inches wide by 3 inches tall and is cut from 3mm thick yellow acrylic or bamboo. Placement of the magnet and bee varies with each item!
