Alpaca wraps per inch gauge

$12.00

This tool is for knitters and spinners, and is used to determine the WPI (wraps per inch) of a particular yarn.  Wrap the yarn around the neck of the alpaca (with markings indicating one inch) and count how many times the yarn was wrapped. Compare this number to the legend on the center of the alpaca to determine the weight of the yarn.

Select the material of your choice from the drop down box below; choose from finished cherry veneer or natural bamboo. The item you receive may have natural variations in color grain, and texture.  The alpaca measures just over 3 inches tall, and just under 3 inches from nose to tail.

Also available as a sheep.

**This item was lucky enough to be mentioned in issue #118 of Simply Knitting Magazine.  Unfortunately they did not quote the price correctly.  Apologies to my UK customers!  I just want you to know that this was not false advertising on my part.  Thanks for your understanding!**
