The manos scarf is finished (see href="http://homepage.mac.com/klweaver/iblog/B1591549138/C698758499/E20051111194548/index.html"
target="NewWindow">previous post). Also check out this href="http://www.sheepinthecity.prettyposies.com/archives/000079.html"
target="NewWindow">scarf pattern that uses manos. I think it is
gorgeous - though I wonder what the wrong side looks
like…

My package from href="http://www.knitpicks.com" target="NewWindow">Knitpicks
arrived and I have some initial impressions. The Sierra is just not as nice as
I had hoped. It is a wool/baby alpaca blend, but does not have the softness or
shine that I was expecting from something containing alpaca. I did go ahead and
start the vest, but it just doesn’t seems near as nice as the one I made out of
href="http://www.westvalleyalpacas.com/YarnAndFiber.html#Misti%20Alpaca%20Chunky"
target="NewWindow">Misti Alpaca. The sierra has no drape and is
kinda rough and puffy (would be good for cables, though). The gray color that i
got is kinda dull. i think this yarn would be nice nice for scarves and hats,
and the basicness of the colors seems good for
striping.

In red, panache (the one w/ a little bit of
cashmere) seems soft as a cloud. I have to get cracking on picking a scarf
pattern for that stuff. So far, i love it. I hope it wears
well.

i am really glad that I got a few
of the color cards because it is really nice to see the
colors.
