In all honesty….
i didn’t try to crochet like i thought i would.
instead i started a new knitting project.

I was doing so well only starting X-mas projects,
but last night i cracked. I shouldn’t have even bought the yarn, but once i did

i went straight to work on these babies:

They are baby
booties in the style of the shearling boots that everyone wears. I saw this
made on Knitty Gritty and had to try it. The yarn for
the body of the booties is Berocco Suede. you are supposed to get two colors,
one for the body and one for the sole, but i could not justify spending more $$
for the yarn that would be on the bottom. The fluffy top is supposed to be
berocco pluch, but there was none at my LYS so i got some sirdar snowflake to
substitute. i think it will make nice sheep booties later
on.
if this inspires you to knit some
booties, join the Bootie-along!
