Baby sock August 30, 2004
This weekend i cranked out what may be the cutest
thing i have ever knit:
thing i have ever knit:

I got some

yarn from my secret pal (thanks secret pal!), and was thinking about
making some socks out of it, but i have never made a sock and wanted some
practice. so i opened up href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1570762244/knitthis-20"
target="NewWindow">50 baby bootees to knit
and decided to try the two tone baby sock
pattern. It actually has 1×1 ribbing on the top, but you can’t see it very well.
the entire sock has a 3×1 ribbing all the way down it, but i knit so tightly
that you cant see that either. it is very stretchy and i am sure that it will
fit a baby. The body of the sock is made from Cherry Tree Hill supersock yarn,
and the heel and toe are some Frog tree alpaca that i had for making bootees.
it was a really quick knit, and was easy. I am almost done with the second
one.

i am definitely going to try to
make adult-sized socks now. i think there should still be enough yarn left
after making the baby socks…
