Cabled leg warmers March 30, 2004

sometimes, i do something that makes me realize that I am a really big
nerd. I wanted to update my progress on the legwarmers, and instead of just
estimating my progress, I used a calculator to determine what percentage I had
completed. It is 5.2% but i thought that it would be okay to round to
5%…

I am knitting these out of Icelandic Lett Lopi in Charcoal that
i got from Yarn
Forward.
The pattern is something I picked up at stitches west, and
is from some Italian company (don’t have it with me so i cant check). They call
these “Turnbacks,” not leg warmers. I am not really sure what turnbacks are,
but I thought they wore them in the civil war or
something.

unfortunately the lighting in my house seems to always be
bad, so it is a little difficult to see the cables. They also look tiny, but
they are super stretchy. There is a 2 x 2 rib wherever the cable is not being
worked. Plus my legs are skinny so it should work out
