To sock or not to sock October 19, 2004
I have been thinking a lot lately about starting
some socks. i need to make a pair for my mom for Christmas.

I have been additionally inspired by
class on toe-up-socks on 2 circular needles. but, i have been discouraged by
the idea that the socks won’t fit, or that my mom might lose one of them. i
also really like turning the heel which i am not sure if you can do when
knitting on 2 circs, Trish over at
target="NewWindow">Bloomin’ Knitiot has totally blown me away. Not
only is she working with 2 circular needles, she is working on 2 socks at the
same time. wow. it is a little
intimidating.

Meanwhile, i have cranked
out a few beer cozies for my uncle for xmas. i think i will post more about
them later, since my comments should be accompanied by pictures. if i didn’t
have to finish up that dang scarf, i would be able to test-knit one more cabled
cozy so i can post the
pattern….
tonight, at knitting
circle, i will be working like mad on my multidirectional scarf. I need to
finish it. it is cramping my
gift-knitting.
Also, the Secret Pal 2
program is about to end. i have one little bit of stuff to send to my secret
pal, and mine has told me to expect something in the mail. I can’t
wait!
