I finished the “fretwork”
square for my kitty blanket. Chandra asked if the back side was a mess, and it
is really not. there are a lot of slipped stitches so there is not as much
color changing as i thought there would be. I laid out the two squares and the
big cable that i have knit so far.

I am knitting a short little cable to join the
two squares. Then i am halfway
done.

And finally… the rest of
the

blanket yarn came! Hooray! It is really nice to see so much color
after knitting all the other squares in drab gray and beige. I am glad we got
those out of the way first.

The yarn is Mission falls 1824 cotton. Left to
right: #200 Musk, #301 fennel, #209 Maize. the white on the end is some
Alafoss lopi that i got to try dyeing.
