So you think you can knit.

I do. i know there are many knitting challenges
that I have never tackled, but you have to save something for the retirement
home, right? One of my co-workers has a girlfriend that is really interested in
knitting. He is always asking me questions about it and the other day mentioned
that he saw someone “double knitting.” I was confused… How could his
untrained eye detect whether or not the person was indeed knitting a
double-thick fabric? Then he said she was “knitting two mittens at once.” The
fact that I was completely unimpressed had to have been obvious when i asked
“were they both on one needle?” See. I am
knitter.

That’s what I thought until
being totally blown away by Eunny at See Eunny Knit! a few days ago I was browsing
some ring or something and came across this post. I thought it was a beautiful pattern,
though a curious shape. then I saw what she was doing… Steeking armholes into
it! Good god how brave! (click the link and look at it already) it seems so
much more adventurous to cut up a fair isle sweater than a crappy top down
raglan of the type i might make. And not only does she have the skills to knit
fair isle patterns in pretty colors, she has the skills to teach us all how to steek something too. I am
totally glued to her blog.
