its not your imagination there is something very weird about that auction site. as well as they try to rip people off on shipping. someone really needs to get the news or someone. its buyer beware and they tamper with the electronic things too. so you can never be certain theyve not broken what you buy...

I have been watching and bidding on things at the goodwill online auctions and have noticed quite a few things that don't seem quite right. First, I check out the "new today" listings. Quite a few of these listings have already got bids that are seriously high for a used item. Second, after these items sell, I have watched the same item (same picture, description and store) relist this item again after 2 sometimes 3 days after the auction has ended. What are the chances that the exact same Coach, Vera Bradley, Cole Haan handbags get donated to the same store that just sold one? I am beginning to see this more and more on this site. I feel there is shill bidding by employees at these certain stores that have been doing this. Handbags, jewelry, pottery and toys/dolls are what I watch and am interested in. This is happening quite a bid on this auction.

Now, this may not be the case at all, maybe there are just people who don't understand the fine art of auction bidding. WAIT, don't run the bid up in the beginning, wait until closer until the end of the auction, you get a better price!

Anyway, the money spent is for a good cause, but what is the point in paying such high prices for used items that didn't cost much more than the highest bid new!
