She was talking about a dropped stitch in knitting. If you drop a stitch in crochet yu just pick it up with your hook. Knitting is a little more complicated.

I’ve been crocheting since ’83 & have never heard of a “dropped stitch” before. Could you please tell me what that is? Mind you, I taught myself how to crochet & have gotten advice from crochet experts before & no one ever mentioned that to me. I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

One shouldn’t use an aluminium hook for the key-chain – alu is a very fragile material – use a Stainless hook instead, it can also snap but bends way better than alu…
